How to Stay Undetected in Escape from Tarkov 2026 – Stat Bans, Account Choice & Playstyle Tips
August 11, 2026 - By Kvix
Escape from Tarkov is one of the harder games to cheat in for long periods. Most bans here are not pure software detections. The majority of people get removed through stat reviews and manual checks after enough reports. BSG looks at numbers, play patterns, and account history more than most other studios.
If you want to last longer, the goal is simple: look as normal as possible on paper and in-game. Here are the main things that actually matter right now.
1. Account age and hours matter more than most people think
Low-hour accounts get reported and reviewed far more often. Fresh accounts that suddenly start performing well, unlocking things quickly, or hitting certain achievements early stand out. Things like early Ending achievements or reaching Master of ULTRA too fast can push an account into a review queue.
The safer range for legit-style cheating is roughly 500 to 2,000 hours. Higher is generally better. Accounts in that range already have a history, so abnormal stats take longer to look suspicious.
Edition also plays a role. EOD and Unheard accounts tend to draw fewer reports than standard editions. They look more like established players and get less automatic attention when numbers are slightly off.
Buying a cheap low-hour account and going hard is one of the fastest ways to get banned in Tarkov. If you need an account, look for ones that already sit in a safer hour range instead of starting from zero.
2. Keep your PMC KD and headshot rate under control
This is the biggest long-term risk for most people.
High KD attracts reports. High headshot percentage is one of the clearest red flags during a manual review. Even if your aimbot feels smooth, a headshot rate that sits far above normal for your hours will eventually get noticed.
You do not need perfect stats. You need stats that do not look impossible. If your headshot percentage or KD is climbing too fast, ease off the stronger settings. Many people run fine for weeks and then get banned purely because the numbers became too clean.
This is also why a lot of experienced players keep a second account or rotate when stats start looking too strong.
3. Stop staring
BSG logs basic behaviour. Head movement, how long you track a target, walking and running patterns, and where you focus your camera all get recorded to some degree.
Staring at loot for too long or locking onto a player through walls for extended periods looks unnatural. It also makes you an easy target for other cheaters who notice the odd behaviour and decide to test you.
Keep tracking short and varied. Check information with ESP, then look away. Move your camera like a normal player would. Long locked stares are one of the easiest ways to look wrong even when the rest of your setup is clean.
4. Use a spoofer properly
A HWID spoofer is almost required if you plan to play more than a few sessions. Tarkov is aggressive with hardware bans once an account gets actioned.
Some cheats already include a spoofer. You can see the current options here: EFT cheats with spoofer.
Most of them use a standard HWID spoofer. Nextcheat is one of the few that also includes a launcher spoofer, which gives a bit more coverage than the usual built-in options. If you are choosing between cheats that come with a spoofer, that difference is worth knowing. You can check Nextcheat EFT Full and the Lite version for the current details.
Whatever you use, keep the spoof consistent. Mixing clean and spoofed sessions on the same hardware without care is a common way people still get linked.
Extra practical points
- Do not run the strongest settings on a main account you care about.
- Reports still matter. Getting reported repeatedly increases the chance of a manual look.
- Wipe cycles change the risk. Early wipe is usually more dangerous because everyone is watching stats closely.
- If you want longer playtime, controlled settings on a proper hour account will almost always last longer than pure rage on a fresh one.
Most people who last longer in Tarkov are not running the most aggressive setup. They are running something controlled, on an account that already has hours, and they keep their numbers from looking ridiculous.
If your goal is longevity instead of short high-kill sessions, these areas (account choice, stats, behaviour, and proper spoofing) will do more for you than almost any other adjustment.
