Bleak PUBG instructions

These instructions apply to both Bleak PUBG and Bleak PUBG Lite. Both versions use the same loader, Discord overlay settings, and launch sequence.

1. Install Dependencies

Before starting, install the shared runtime dependencies:

2. Prepare Your System

  • Restart your computer and close PUBG.
  • The PUBG guide requires conflicting third-party antivirus and anti-cheat software, such as Faceit, Vanguard, 360, and Avast, to be uninstalled. See the anti-cheat guide.
  • Disabling Windows Defender is recommended by the provider, not listed as mandatory. See the antivirus guide.
  • Secure Boot and TPM changes are optional in the supplied PUBG guide. See the Secure Boot & TPM guide if you need to change them.
  • Run PUBG in borderless mode.

Disabling security features reduces system protection. Do not change BIOS settings just because another Bleak game's guide requires them.

3. Configure Discord

  1. Fully close Discord, then start it using Run as administrator. Do this on subsequent launches too.
  2. Sign in and open User Settings > Game Overlay.
  3. Set Enable Overlay to ON.
  4. Set Enable Legacy Overlay to OFF.
  5. Set Enable Interactive Overlay Regions to ON.
  6. Leave Compatibility Mode OFF where shown.
  7. Keep Discord running.

PUBG uses the Discord overlay in this guide, not the SteelSeries Sonar setup used by some other Bleak products.

4. Download the Loader

  1. Open the loader download link in your purchase email or delivery instructions.
  2. Download the Bleak loader.
  3. Save it in a folder of your choice.

5. Log In & Start PUBG

  1. Run the Bleak loader as administrator, including on subsequent launches.
  2. Enter your license key and click Inject.
  3. Keep Discord open. PUBG starts automatically after injection.
  4. Wait until PUBG reaches its main menu.
  5. In Discord's Game Overlay settings, confirm the PUBG game toggle is ON and the overlay is shown as applied.
  6. Return to PUBG, press F4, and wait 5 to 10 seconds for the Bleak menu.
  7. Open or close the menu with Insert or Home.

Troubleshooting

The menu does not appear

  • Confirm Discord and the loader were both started as administrator.
  • Check that PUBG is in borderless mode.
  • Confirm the new overlay is on, the legacy overlay is off, and the PUBG per-game toggle is on.
  • Wait for the overlay to attach before pressing F4, then allow 5 to 10 seconds.
  • Do not use the launch sequence from the Bleak Rust guide.
