TPM / Secure Boot

Important Notes Before Starting:

  • These settings are in your BIOS/UEFI firmware (not Windows).
  • Exact menu names vary by motherboard (ASUS, MSI, Gigabyte, etc.).

  • For Intel: Look for "Intel PTT" or "Platform Trust Technology".
  • You may need to disable CSM/Legacy Boot mode first.
  • Backup data and note current settings before changing.

General Steps:

Alternative from Windows: Settings → Recovery → Advanced startup → UEFI Firmware Settings.

  1. Restart PC and enter BIOS/UEFI (usually DEL, F2, F10, Esc, or F12 during boot).
  2. Switch to Advanced Mode if needed (often F7).
  3. Disable Legacy/CSM Boot (required for Secure Boot):
  • Boot tab → CSM Support / Launch CSM → Disabled
  1. Enable TPM (2.0):
  • Security / Advanced / Trusted Computing tab
  • AMD: AMD fTPM / CPU fTPM → Enabled
  • Intel: Intel PTT / Platform Trust Technology → Enabled
  • Or general: TPM Device / Security Device Support → Enabled
  1. Enable Secure Boot:
  • Boot or Security tab → Secure Boot → Enabled
  • If prompted, load default keys (Standard mode usually fine).
  1. Save & Exit (usually F10) and reboot.

After Enabling – Verify in Checker.
